Jennifer Lopez is getting some serious Oscar buzz for her performance in Hustlers, and other major organizations are also taking notice. Palm Springs Film Festival will celebrate her achievements with an honorary Spotlight Award.

Festival chairman Harold Matzner announced their decision to reward J. Lo with this special honor and explained why she’s a perfect pick.

“Jennifer Lopez is a star in every sense of the word, and you will experience this in her latest film Hustlers… For this full-force yet grounded performance, deserving of awards consideration, we are thrilled to present Jennifer Lopez with this year’s Spotlight Award,” said Matzner.

Hustlers centers on a group of former strip club employees, who decide to take revenge on their corrupt Wall Street clients, and also stars Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B. The movie was met with critical acclaimed and earned over $150 million on the box office.

Palm Springs Film Festival will take place from January 2-13, and Lopez will be presented with her award during the annual gala on the first day of the festival.
