Jeremy Renner in Critical But Stable Condition After Snow Plowing Accident

Marvel star Jeremy Renner suffered injuries in a weather-related accident on Sunday, but he’s in stable condition. The actor’s representatives revealed that he’s in the intensive care unit after the surgery and thanked fans for the outpouring of love and support following his accident.

Renner’s rep revealed that the actor suffered injuries in a weather-related accident while plowing snow near Reno, Nevada during the morning of New Year’s Day. The actor’s home is located in Washoe County, and the area was pummeled by heavy snowfall due to a storm on New Year’s Eve.

Renner was promptly taken to a local hospital following his accident, after suffering blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. His representatives later revealed he remains in the intensive care unit following the surgery and thanked the hospital staff for their devotion.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him… They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans,” the actor’s representation said in a statement.

Renner is best known for the role of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in the MCU and he most recently played this character in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. He’s currently playing the lead role in the crime thriller series Mayor of Kingstown and its second season will premiere on Paramount+ later this month.
