Roseanne Barr has at least one person in her corner.

The 65-year-old is not the most popular person in Hollywood at the moment after making racist remarks regarding a senior advisor to former US President, Barack Obama.

The incident resulted in her number 1 TV show, Roseanne, first being canceled by ABC, and then picked up as a spin-off called The Connors with which she will have no involvement.

However, a fellow comedian feels that Roseanne should not have been fired.

The host of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld, told Entertainment Tonight that he didn’t see why it was necessary to fire the actress.

“Why would you murder someone who’s committing suicide? But I never saw someone ruin their entire career with one button push. That was fresh.”

Jerry also feels that ABC could have replaced Roseanne when The Connors hits screens in the fall.

“I think they should get another Roseanne,” he said. “They brought Dan Conner back, he was dead and they brought him back. So, why can’t we get another Roseanne? There are other funny women that could do that part. You need to get the comic in there. I hate to see a comic lose a job.”

We wonder if he would be interested?
