Hollywood icon Joan Collins is set to appear in the latest season of American Horror Story.

The upcoming season will be the eighth in the series and it has been reported that the name “American Horror Story: Radioactive” has been trademarked.

The series will star the AHS regulars including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates. Ryan Murphy confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Joan Collins will also be starring in the next season, saying that he is “throwing in Joan Collins” for the upcoming season.

Joan Collins is An English actress and was made dame by Queen Elizabeth II in 2015. She has starred in TV, film and has even taken to the stage in her 60+ year career.

We still have very little additional news about the upcoming show. It will be set in the future and fans are theorizing that it will be set in a post-apocalyptic world and center around a group of survivors. Murphy said the rumor was “an interesting idea” but has neither confirmed nor denied it.

We also don’t yet have a final date for the Season 8 premiere. It is likely to be before the end of the year as Murphy said he wants to have the series out before the holiday season because he “doesn’t want blood with [his] Christmas ornaments”.
