Joaquin Phoenix Travels Cross-Country in “C’mon C’mon” Trailer

C’mon C’mon, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival over Labor Day weekend and stars Joaquin Phoenix, has released a trailer.

Oscar-winning director Mike Mills is helming the film which stars Phoenix as Johnny, a middle-aged radio journalist who is left to care for his nephew (Woody Norman) and he takes a trip across the country to interview kids, asking them about their lives and where the world is headed.

Also in the cast are Gaby Hoffmann, Scoot McNairy, Molly Webster, and Jaboukie Young-White.

The film is shot in black-and-white and is edited by Jennifer Vecchiarello, with Robbie Ryan heading cinematography. Producing are Chelsea Barnard, Andrea Longacre-White, and Lila Yacoub.

The trailer shows pieces of the relationship between Johnny and Jesse from Los Angeles to New York, with voice-over of Johnny reading passages from Star Child by Claire A. Nivola.
