Jodie Comer Joins Ryan Reynolds in “Free Guy”

The Killing Eve star is about to make her Hollywood debut.

Jodie Comer has joined the cast of Free Guy, an action comedy about video games starring Ryan Reynolds. Lil Rel (Get Out) and Joe Keery (Stranger Things( have also signed on in supporting roles.

The features hails from Shawn Levy. He will be directing from a script written by Matt Lieberman.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Free Guy centers on a background character who suddenly realizes he’s living in a video game. After he discovers that the makers of the game may be shutting down his world, with the help of an avatar, he tries to keep the world alive.

Comer will play the avatar, Molotov Girl. In the real world, she is the programmer who created the game but then it was stolen from her. Rel will play another background character and Reynolds’ best friend and Keery will play a programmer who may or may not have a secret agenda.

Filming of Free Guy is secluded to begin in April.
