The Doctor is still in.

As fans of Doctor Who are all too familiar with, the Gallifreyan Time Lord wears many faces. The Doctor regenerates every few years, embodying a new form.

Having originally begun in 1963 and returning in 2005, the series has so far seen 13 incarnations of the character. The current Doctor is played by Jodie Whitaker who is the first female to do so.

The Broadchurch actress assumed the role in 2018 and has proven massively popular amongst audiences. They will be pleased to know then that she will be staying on for at least one more season.

“Yes, I’m doing another season,” she confirmed to Entertainment Weekly. “That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie! [Laughs] I absolutely adore it. At some point, these shoes are going to be handed

on, but it’s not yet. I’m clinging on tight!”

The TARDIS is in good hands!
