John Boyega and Robert De Niro are both amazing actors in their own right, and we’ll soon get to watch them by each other’s side. They’ve been cast as leads in the upcoming racing drama The Formula, set to be released by Netflix.
This promising movie will focus on a Formula One racing prodigy who is forced to become a getaway driver to save the only family he has left. Gerard McMurray, who helmed one of Netflix’s very first feature films Burning Sands, is in charge of writing and directing the project.
John Boyega is currently attached to two more Netflix movies—the sci-fi comedy They Cloned Tyrone and action thriller, Rebel Ridge. Back in 2020, his production company UpperRoom Productions also signed a deal with this streaming giant to develop non-English language films.
Robert De Niro is also no stranger to working with Netflix. One of his most critically acclaimed films in recent memory, Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, premiered on this streaming service back in 2019 and went on to receive 10 Academy Award nominations.
