Many of our favorite artists are currently trying to entertain us while we’re staying at home by streaming their sessions on Instagram, including John Legend. He used his recent live set to share some exciting news with his fans – that he’s working on a new album.

Legend is the latest artist to take part in the Together at Home concert series led by Chris Martin, and he saw this live session as the perfect opportunity to tell his fans that his new music is on the way.

“Just so you guys know, I am putting out a new album this year. Everybody’s home, you need stuff, you need music, you need TV, you need films. You need stuff to entertain you, so I’m going to put some music out,” said the EGOT winner.

Legend also added that he’s not sure when exactly this record is going to come out with everything that’s happening right now, but he already wrote and recorded most of it. He also challenged Miguel and Charlie Puth to take part in Together at Home series.
