Most people know JoJo Siwa as a tween singing and dancing sensation, but she’s getting ready to branch out and explore new creative territories. Siwa landed a role in All My Friends Are Dead, the upcoming horror-thriller about a group of college friends whose wild weekend turns into a nightmare.

All My Friends Are Dead will center on a group of college friends, whose wild weekend of partying quickly goes in an unexpected direction. They’re mysteriously killed one by one, and it turns out each of their deaths corresponds to one of the deathly sins.

Siwa will star in this project alongside Little Fires Everywhere’s Jade Pettyjohn, and she can’t wait to work on this movie by each other’s side and explore one of her favorite movie genres.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the upcoming movie. This is a project that is so different from anything I’ve done previously; however, I absolutely love horror movies and I can’t wait to start production! I’m also excited to work with Jade again,” said Siwa in a statement.

Saw 3D writer Marcus Dunstan will be in charge of directing the film, based on a screenplay by writers Josh Sims and Jessica Sarah Flaum. Casting is underway, and All My Friends Are Dead will most likely start filming this spring in Canada.
