The forthcoming film in The Matrix franchise adds to its cast.

Multiple outlets confirm that Jonathan Groff is set to star in The Matrix 4. Collider was first to report the news.

He joins previously confirmed original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss set to reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity, and Jada Pinkett Smith returning as Niobe.

Aquaman‘s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II also joined the franchise as a lead, with unconfirmed reports saying that he’ll play a young Morpheus. Jessica Henwick and Neil Patrick Harris are also in the cast.

Lana Wachowski returns as director and is co-writing the script with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell.

The new film will revive the successful franchise after a 16-year hiatus with the first film debuting in 1999.
