Season 14 of Doctor Who is on the way and it’s shaping up to be the most amazing one yet. Mindhunter star Jonathan Groff is getting ready to jump aboard the TARDIS after joining the cult sci-fi British series in a mystery guest role.
We don’t know much about Groff’s character, but it’s safe to assume he’ll be one of the Doctor’s allies, according to BBC. The actor said he’s thrilled to jump into the extraordinary mind of Russell T Davies and watch the incredible Ncuti Gatwa soar in this iconic role.
Davies is taking the reins at Doctor Who almost two decades after reviving the series in 2005, and he’s thrilled to welcome Groff on board.
“This is an incredible coup, and a great honor, to get such a huge star striding onto our set. So strap on your space boots, this is going to be a blast!” he said in a statement.
Doctor Who will experience a major makeover when it comes back for Season 14, and Davies’ return isn’t the only reason to get excited about it. Ncuti Gatwa will step into the shoes of the famous Time Lord in the next season, and he’ll be joined by Millie Gibson, Yasmin Finney, and Jinkx Monsoon.
