Josh Holloway will join forces with the Lost creator J.J. Abrams once again. This time, the duo is set to work together on a new HBO Max drama series, Duster.
Duster is set in the 1970s and follows a getaway driver who works for a crime syndicate in the Southwest. Abrams serves as creator, co-writer with LaToya Morgan, and producer for the series, while Holloway will portray the role of the driver according to Deadline.
Further details about the project are still kept under wraps, but the production of the series is expected to kick off at some point in 2021.
Holloway was featured in a number of projects recently, including Paramount’s drama Yellowstone and anthology Amazing Stories, but remains best known for his role as James “Sawyer” Ford on Lost. He was part of the series’ cast for all six seasons and won a Screen Actors Guild Award and Saturn Award for his work.
Abrams, who received two Emmy Awards for Lost, currently has several projects lined up besides Duster. He created sci-fi fantasy Demimonde, which is set to premiere on HBO, while also working on TV series adaptations of DC’s Justice League Dark and Stephen King’s Overlook.
