Judas Priest is the longest-running metal band, a fact that was to be celebrated with a massive tour. The English band, formed in 1969, was supposed to embark on a 50th-anniversary tour but then the coronavirus had their plans changed. Now, the band announces new dates for a rescheduled U.S. tour.

Up until now, the band announced 14 stops on its future tour, aimed to take place in September and October 2021. 11 of the original dates were outright canceled, though. However, the band said there will be more dates announced. “We have every intention of adding more shows and cities to our 50th-anniversary tour in the fall of 2021—as soon as we have the new dates finalized, we will announce them,” an official statement read.

The band also declared that all tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored—and ticket holders will be notified. Ticket holders for a canceled event will receive an automatic refund in approximately 30 days.

Until any new announcement, the tour will begin on September 13, 2021, at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, NC. The band will tour through the U.S. and the last date is currently October 30, 2021, at Foxwoods Casino Arena in Ledyard, CT.
