Most bands can’t say they managed to stick together for half a decade, but Judas Priest is amongst the very few who accomplished this task. They’re celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and they’ll be hitting the road to mark the occasion alongside their fans.

The legendary metal band was formed in England in 1969 and sold over 50 million copies of their albums in the decades to come. They’ve been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year but failed to make the final cut.

Judas Priest released an official statement announcing the upcoming tour, described as a 50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular, and said they “can’t wait to raise horns with you again at this once in a metal lifetime event”.

In addition to performing across Europe, the legendary British band announced a series of North American dates. They’ll kick things off with a concert at MGM National Harbor in Maryland on September 9th, and bring their tour to a spectacular conclusion with a show at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood on October 17th.
