Julia Roberts starred in more iconic movies than we can count over the course of the past three decades, and she believes at least one of them deserves a follow-up. The Oscar-winning actress revealed she’d like to do a sequel of her cult rom-com My Best Friend’s Wedding.

The 1997 romantic comedy starred Roberts and Dermot Mulroney as two former best friends who made a pact that they’d marry each other if they were single by the age of 28. It became a global box office hit following its release and went down in history as one of the most iconic 90s rom-coms.

During a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live, Roberts was asked which of her movies deserves a sequel, and she opted for My Best Friend’s Wedding. She said it would be fun to see where all the characters are now and what happened to Mulroney’s character Michael after he decided to proceed with his wedding with Kimmy (Cameron Diaz).

Roberts did her interview with Andy Cohen as a part of the promo tour for her recent film Leave the World Behind, which came out on Netflix on December 8. Sam Esmail’s psychological thriller is set in the midst of a mysterious cyber-attack and also stars Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, and Myha’la.
