Apple Original Films is currently plotting a new film Echo Valley from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby, and its cast is shaping up to be pretty amazing. Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore landed lead roles in this heart-pounding thriller.

Echo Valley borrows its name from a fictional farm in Southeastern Pennsylvania, where Kate Garrett (Moore) spends her days boarding and training horses while reeling from a personal tragedy.

Her life turns upside down when her wayward daughter Claire (Sweeney) arrives at her doorstep covered in someone else’s blood. From that point on, Echo Valley turns into a riveting thriller, as Kate starts testing her own limits, going off the deep end to save her child.

Echo Valley hails from a script by Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby, and Michael Pearce will be in charge of directing it. In addition to Apple Studios, the project will be produced by Scott Free Films and The Walsh Company,

The Oscar winner Moore most recently starred in Jesse Eisenberg’s feature directorial debut When You Finish Saving the World, and she’s currently attached to Todd Haynes’ next film May December. Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney is fresh off the success of the critically acclaimed Berlin Film Festival hit Reality, and she’s also set to star in crime thriller Americana and superhero film Madame Web.
