“Jurassic World: Dominion” Wraps Production

Chris Pratt in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom"

It was a bumpy road, but the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop Jurassic World 3: Dominion. Director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow have confirmed to Deadline that the production of the threequel is complete. The movie is now entering the post-production stage.

The director later took to social media and shared the final set picture on his Twitter account. The photo shows himself with Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, and Sam Neill who returns to his role as Alan Grant. The enclosed tweet read: “Wrap on Jurassic World Dominion. All my gratitude to our extraordinary crew and cast. We made a family.”

The movie was one of the first victims of the pandemic, having been shut down only three weeks into its filming. However, Universal invested millions of dollars in order to create a safe environment for filming to resume. It was one of the first major productions to do so.

Apart from Neill, Jurassic World 3: Dominion also sees Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum coming back to reprise their roles as Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm. Plot details are kept under wraps, but Trevorrow has promised in the past they will play big roles in the movie. It is the first movie since the original that reunites the three characters.
