It’s been four years since Justin Bieber dropped his last studio album, and it seems we won’t be getting a new one anytime soon. The Canadian singer announced he’s taking a break from music to repair some of the “deep rooted issues” in his life.

Bieber shared the news about his hiatus on Instagram, with a lengthy post he used to answer all the questions his fans might have. He admitted his last tour wasn’t the “lively energetic fun light concert” he wanted it to be because he wasn’t in the right state of mind most of the time.

“So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album… I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that,” wrote the singer.

Justin Bieber said he’ll take this time off to focus on his mental health and work on himself and his marriage. He still enjoys making music, but his health and family are his priority no. 1 at this point in time.
