Justin Bieber to Perform at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards is just around the corner, and the list of performers is getting longer by the day. Justin Bieber topped this year’s list of nominees, and he finally agreed to join the ceremony as one of the performers, as well.

The Canadian hitmaker topped the list of nominees with a total of seven nods. In addition to Artist of the Year, he’ll also be in the running for Best Pop, Best Collaboration, and Best editing for “Peaches” featuring Giveon and Daniel Caesar. Additionally, his Chance the Rapper collaboration “Holy” received a nomination for Best Cinematography. He also made an appearance in the “Popstar” video by DJ Khaled and Drake, which is in the running for video of the year.

Bieber joins the long list of previously announced performers, which includes Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Foo Fighters, Olivia Rodrigo, and Lil Nas X, to name a few.

The ceremony will take place on September 12th at the Barclays Center in New York City, with Doja Cat hosting the festivities and performing during the ceremony. The list of major contenders includes Megan Thee Stallion with six nods, and Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X, and Olivia Rodrigo with five.
