We can count on Blackpink to smash YouTube records every time they drop a new song, but they really rocked our world with their latest milestone. The K-pop band recently surpassed Justin Bieber to become the most subscribed artist channel on YouTube.

At the moment when they managed to break the Canadian star’s record, Blackpink had 65.6 million subscribers under their belt, half a million more than Bieber, according to Forbes. BTS is currently placed third with 57.5 million subscribers, while Marshmello and Ariana Grande are placed no. 4 and no. 5 respectively.

Blackpink said this album was a “miracle-like moment” for the band, and credited their fans for making it possible and for always loving and supporting them. “As this is a result that we accomplished together with our fans, we hope fans will also share this joy. We will become artists who continue to give positive energy through good music and videos,” reads Blackpink’s statement.

This record-breaking moment comes shortly after Blackpink’s Lisa released her debut single “Lalisa”. The enormous success of this song contributed to the latest increase in subscribers on Blackpink’s YouTube channel and attracted 10 million views in just 90 minutes.
