Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson are both comedic forces in their own right, and they’ll soon be making us laugh by each other’s side. They are eyed for the lead roles in the time-traveling romantic comedy Meet Cute.

Deadline broke the news about Cuoco’s and Davidson’s potential involvement in the project described as “a wildly inventive deconstruction of the romantic comedy” which centers around the question of whether you would travel back in time to fix your partner and change them into a perfect person that you need today.

Meet Cute is based on Noga Pnueli’s script, and Alex Lehmann (Blue Jay, Paddleton) is set to direct. Cuoco and Davidson are yet to close their deals and officially confirm their involvement.

Cuoco is fresh off her Golden Globe-nominated role in The Flight Attendant, her first major project following the finale of The Big Bang Theory. Davidson is best known as a member of the Saturday Night Live cast, but we’ll soon get to see him in The Suicide Squad.
