Kaley Cuoco and David Oyelowo gave us many amazing movies over the years, and they’ll soon appear in another by each other’s side. They star in the first trailer for the comedic spy thriller “Role Play”, about a couple whose lives are turned upside down when secrets from their past come back to haunt them.

According to the film’s synopsis, Cuoco will play Emma, who has a wonderful husband and two kids in the suburbs of New Jersey. She also leads a secret life as an assassin for hire, and her husband David ends up discovering her secret when they decide to spice up their marriage with some role play.

Cuoco recently scored two Emmy nods for her performance in The Flight Attendant, and went on to appear in Peacock’s comedy series Based on a True Story. The Emmy nominee Oyelowo appeared in Apple TV’s dystopian sci-fi drama Silo and he’ll soon see him in the biblical epic The Book of Clarence.

In addition to the leading duo, Role Play will also star Bill Nighy and Connie Nielsen. It was directed by Thomas Vincent, while Seth Owen wrote the script, based on an original idea from Brillstein Entertainment Partners’ George Heller. It will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 12, 2024.
