Kanye West started a new chapter of his career with the gospel-inspired album Jesus Is King, and he just gave us one of his most personal music videos to date with “Follow God,” which features a surprising guest – his father.

The two men met up in Wyoming and spent their time together discussing Kanye’s dad’s love for fishing and reminiscing about the amazing summers they spent there. When he teased the video for his new single, West shared a touching personal observation – “It took me 42 years to realize that my dad was my best friend.”

Their strong bond is the beating heart of this music video directed by Jake Schreier, which shows the duo walking through snow-covered fields and blowing off some steam by driving ATVs, while surrounded by scenic mountain landscapes.

“Follow God” is one of 11 tracks featured on West’s chart-topping album Jesus Is King. They all made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart after the album was released on October 25th, but this one is the biggest success so far and immediately debuted at the no. 7 spot.
