Katie Holmes to Star in Horror Sequel “The Boy 2”

Looks like scary movies are becoming the plat du jour. 

A sequel to The Boy is coming your way starring Dawson’s Creek alum Katie Holmes. The Boy 2 a sequel to 2016’d original will reunite the original’s director William Brent Bell and writer Stacey Menear. 

The original, which starred Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans, followed a woman who was hired to babysit a porcelain effigy named Brahms. It was produced for under $15 million and grossed $68 million worldwide. According to Variety, the sequel will see the return of Brahms as it follows a family that is unaware of the terrifying history of the estate into which they move, where their young son soon makes an unsettling new friend.
