We are all finding our own ways to get creative while social distancing, but Kehlani just outdid everyone else. Being stuck at home didn’t stop her from filming an entire music video for her latest single “Everybody Business”.

Kehlani’s new self-directed visual features shots filmed inside her backyard and around her neighborhood.

The lyrics of “Everybody Business” reflect on malicious rumors she’s been facing, and she calls out people who’ve been spreading them through a series of Google search screen flashes.

“Everybody Business” interpolates Pharrell Williams’s single “Frontin” featuring Jay-Z, and she reflected on the moment when she shared the idea for this song with her producers in an Instagram post.

“I remember saying the first line and all of us knowing it was going to be one of the ones. The way we all laughed, got silent, nodded our heads, walked around in circles. When I was nervous to sing the hook out loud because I didn’t know if they would think I was hilarious for flipping Pharrell’s ‘Frontin” in a guitar ballad,” wrote Kehlani.
