Usher just dropped an epic music video for his latest single “Boyfriend”, and it features a surprise leading star. Keke Palmer takes center stage in this cheeky music video which shows her transforming into one of her favorite childhood idols.
The video for “Boyfriend” opens with Palmer getting ready for a girl’s night out in Las Vegas. While taking the elevator down to the lobby, she’s singing to Usher’s hit “U Remind Me”, and she then goes on to unleash her inner Usher by rocking the same outfit as the singer and dancing by his side across the casino floor.
Palmer took to social media to explain she wanted to be just like Usher whenever she watched one of his music videos and thanked him for making her dream come true.
“You have been killing it all my life. As a true lover of the arts, your talent and craftsmanship are a rare combination that I aspire to achieve as a performer. You are a living legend who is worthy of awe! Thank you for encouraging me and seeing me as the entertainer I am,” she wrote on social media.
“Boyfriend” will be featured on Usher’s ninth studio album, along with the recently released collaboration “Good Good” featuring 21 Savage and Summer Walker.
