Keke Palmer has been added to the list of actors set to star in Oscar-winner filmmaker Jordan Peele’s latest secret project at Universal Pictures.

Keke Palmer is known for her breakout role in Akeelah and the Bee and has since been an actress, singer/songwriter, producer, and TV host. She starred in Hustlers opposite Jennifer Lopez and just finished filming Alice with Common and Jonny Lee Miller. Currently, she plays the voice of Maya in the Disney + revival of The Proud Family and Rochelle in Big Mouth and Human Resources.

Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya is currently in talks to join the film, which would reunite the actor and director. Get Out earned $255 million at the box office and scored four Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and a win for Best Orginal Screenplay.

Peele wrote and directed the film with Ian Cooper producing. Like Peele’s first two projects with Universal, Get Out and Us, details are being kept secret.

The secret project is set to be released in July 2022.
