Several stars announced their holiday specials in recent weeks, and Kelly Clarkson has her own on the way. The Grammy-winning singer and TV host will ring in the holidays by pulling double duty at this year’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center special.

Clarkson will host and perform at the annual two-hour holiday special, set to air on NBC on November 29. Putting the former American Idol winner in charge of this holiday special was a no-brainer for NBC since she already serves as the host of The Kelly Clarkson Show on this network.

Hosting Christmas in Rockefeller Center is somewhat of a full-circle moment for Clarkson. This year marks the 20th anniversary of her debut Christmas in Rockefeller Center performance, and she went on to take part in this event on several occasions over the years.

“I’m so excited to consider this city and Rockefeller Center my new home, and I can’t imagine a better way to kick off Christmas this year than to be a part of this beautiful New York tradition with the lighting of the tree!” said Clarkson in a statement.

The rest of Christmas in Rockefeller Center performers will be announced at a later date, while Today anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, and Craig Melvin are expected to assist Clarkson during the tree lighting.
