Some happy news from Kerr-Spiegel family. Australian model Miranda Kerr revealed on Wednesday that she and her husband, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, are expecting their first child together. Kerr already has a child from her previous marriage with actor Orlando Bloom.
“Miranda, Evan, and Flynn are looking forward to welcoming the newest member of their family,” spokesperson for Kerr confirmed.
Kerr and Spiegel met in a Louis Vuitton dinner in 2014 and started dating in 2015. After getting engaged in July 2016, the pair got married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles in May 2017. While she and Spiegel were still engaged, Kerr commented on the possibility of having another child, saying that her then-fiance is traditional.
“Not yet. Not until after we get married. My partner is very traditional.” said Kerr at the time.
Miranda Kerr started her career at age 13 when she won a modeling competition. She received worldwide attention in 2007 after becoming one of Victoria’s Secret Angels, being the first Australian model to achieve that. She enjoyed continued success in modeling ever since, appearing on covers of almost every important fashion magazine. In 2016, Forbes magazine named her one of the highest earning models in the world. Before settling down with Spiegel, Kerr was married to Orlando Bloom for 3 years. The pair announced their split in 2013.
Evan Spiegel created Snapchat while he was at Stanford University. He left before completing his degree in order to fully commit to the project. It turned out to be the right decision since Spiegel became the youngest billionaire in the world in 2015.
