No one would ever think Kesha and The Struts are a match made in heaven, but the video of their new collaboration is here to prove everyone wrong. The band just dropped a revamped version of their hit song “Body Talks”, and bringing Kesha on board made it 100% better.
This vibrant, candy-filled visual features dozen of randomly painted props covered in glitter. Bananas, roosters, cherries, ice cream cones, skulls, pyramids… You name it, it’s there – and don’t even get us started on Kesha’s deliciously gaudy outfits, which somehow managed to be the most striking part of the whole setup.
This genre-crossing collab is pretty unexpected since Kesha had a tendency to team up with mainstream artists in the past. It seems she’s keen on exploring new things since her latest single, “Woman,” also had the rock-leaning sound and it featured soul band Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings.
When you think about it, teaming up with The Struts actually makes perfect sense since they share the same kind of infectious energy. Body Talks video makes it obvious they’re having one hell of a time singing this dynamic rock tune together, andTik Tok singer spent a lot of time hoping this moment would come.
“They are one of my favorite current bands keeping the spirit of classic rock and roll alive with their wild energy and sexy style. It’s a song about my favorite activity: boogieing,” said Kesha.
