AMC gave us one of their most buzzed-about sitcoms in recent memory with Kevin Can F**k Himself, and they’re bringing it back for another ride. The comedy series, fronted by the Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy, has been renewed for its second season.
Kevin Can F**k Himself centers on a woman who spent her whole life playing the role of prototypical sitcom wife, before deciding to take her destiny into her own hands and start living the life she’s always been dreaming about. In addition to Murphy, the series also stars Mary Hollis Inboden, Eric Petersen, Alex Bonifer, and Raymond Lee.
Kevin Can F**k Himself was created by Valerie Armstrong, who thanked AMC for giving a home to her “weird little show” and said she’s looking forward to bringing it back.
“Creating the first season of Kevin Can F**K Himself and getting to tell this story has been the joy of my life. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be stuck in Worcester with Allison for another year,” said Armstrong in a statement.
Since its premiere in June, Kevin Can F**K Himself was met with critical acclaim and it was praised for toying with sitcom conventions in an original way.
