Landing a hosting gig at the Oscars is a dream of every comedian out there, but it’s coming true for Kevin Hart. The famous actor will be the one roasting Hollywood A-listers come Oscar night as the Academy picked him as the host of the upcoming ceremony.
Hart couldn’t contain his excitement after discovering he’s about to fulfill his lifelong dream and immediately shared the amazing news with the rest of the world. He described this gig as “an opportunity of a lifetime” and thanked everyone who was by his side every step of the way.
“I am so happy to say that the day has finally come for me to host the Oscars. I am blown away simply because this has been a goal on my list for a long time… To be able to join the legendary list of host that have graced that stage is unbelievable. I know my mom is smiling from ear to ear right now,” wrote Hart.
It’s amazing to see how enthusiastic Hart is about taking on the hosting duties since it was rumored that the Academy struggled to find someone suitable for the job this year. Viewership hit an all-time low last year with Jimmy Kimmel, and the host is usually the one expected to boost the ratings. Let’s hope Kevin Hart is up to the challenge and proves as an amazing host on February 24, 2019.
