Kim Cattrall is the only member of SATC cast not to return for its revival series…but that’s about to change! She’ll reprise her role as Samantha Jones with a small cameo in the upcoming Season 2 of And Just Like That…
Samantha Jones’ name was often mentioned throughout Season 1 of the SATC revival, but her presence will become more tangible in Season 2. She’ll make a cameo in the series finale, and the door is open for her Season 3 comeback if the series gets renewed.
Cattrall’s return is somewhat of a shocker since she repeatedly refused to reprise her iconic role and had a very public feud with her former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker. She also said she’s not interested in returning because “it’s great wisdom to know when enough is enough.”
“I was never asked to be part of the reboot. I made my feelings clear after the possible third movie, so I found out about it like everyone else did – on social media… I also didn’t want to compromise what the show was to me,” she told Variety last year.
Cattrall played Samantha Jones in SATC and two sequel movies, and received five Emmy nominations for her performance.
