Kim Kardashian got everyone talking about her recent performance in American Horror Story, and she’s gearing up for another one! The reality star and SKIMS founder will star in the upcoming comedy The 5th Wheel, and she’ll also serve as one of its producers.
The 5th Wheel was scripted by Paula Pell and Janine Brito, and it’s been described as a female-driven comedy. In addition to starring in this project, Kardashian has been very involved as a producer, and Deadline reports she was present at each pitch meeting with the studios.
Paula Pell will produce the film alongside Kardashian, and her previous credits include Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, in addition to the script for another female-driven comedy – Sisters starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
Kardashian’s casting in this project comes shortly after she created a lot of buzz with her first major acting role in the new season of American Horror Story. In an interview with Variety, she admitted that stepping into this role wasn’t easy, but she enjoyed the challenge.
“It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m so excited for the experience. I am [taking acting lessons], of course. It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself,” said Kardashian.
