Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are teaming up for the new NBC game show Family Game Fight. The program will see Bell and Shepard, who are married since 2013, serving as both the hosts and contestants.

According to Deadline, the game show will feature two families competing in a series of games in order to win a big prize. Bell and Shepard will go against each other as well, joining the opposing families.

Reportedly, the Family Game Fight is inspired by the couple’s viral appearance in the “Taste Buds” segment on The Ellen Show. It will feature 10 hour-long episodes in its first season.

This will be the second hosting gig on a game show for Dax Shepard. The Ranch actor previously hosted Fox’s Spin the Wheel, which premiered in 2019 and was on air for just one season.

“Kristen is my favorite human to work with,” said Shepard in a statement. “She’s the most consistently funny, playful, and joyful scene partner I’ve ever had. She’s also incredibly fun to look at.”

“I’m so excited to host Family Game Fight and play all day with my best friend,” Bell followed while revealing that one of her first dates with Shepard was a game night.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard previously shared the screen on multiple occasions, starring in films like When in Rome, Hit and Run, and The Boss. Shepard also made a cameo appearance in a movie adaptation of Bell’s acclaimed TV show Veronica Mars, while Bell returned the favor by appearing in Shepard-fronted comedy CHiPs.
