Michael Angarano is getting ready to direct his next film Sacramento and he managed to round out a pretty impressive cast for this project. Kristen Stewart will star in this road trip comedy alongside Angarano, Michael Cera, and Maya Erskine.

Sacramento centers on two longtime friends, who embark on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento, which sees them revisiting their past and questioning their future.

Angarano will play the energetic and free-spirited young man Rickey, while Cera will take on the role of his friend Glenn, who’s settled into domestic life. Stewart and Erskine will play the duo’s wives.

In addition to directing this film and playing one of the lead roles, Angarano also co-wrote it alongside Chris Smith, and he said they feel grateful and excited to finally make it happen.

“We’re honored to be working with this wildly talented cast and crew led by Stephen at Bee-Hive who is not only a great partner, but a true collaborator. It’s already been quite a journey but we’re finally ready to go make a movie,” Angarano told Deadline.

Stewart and Angarano go a way back, and they even dated in their youth after co-starring in the teen drama Speak in 2004.
