It’s been two years since Kristen Stewart made her last big screen appearance, but she’s ready for a comeback. The new trailer for her latest movie Lizzie just dropped, and let’s just say she’s killing it!

The Twilight actress and her co-star Chloë Sevigny team up for love and carnage in a modern take on the most infamous murder cases in American history – the Lizzie Borden murders. There are a lot of theories surrounding the murder and this movie incorporates the idea that Borden decided to kill her father and stepmother after they discovered her affair with servant Bridget Sullivan. Kristen Stewart takes on the role of Borden’s star-crossed lover, while Sevigny plays notorious would-be axe murderess.

Everyone is familiar with Lizzie’s blood-chilling story, but it’s still a riveting tale worth checking out. The trailer makes it clear you can expect an extremely disturbing movie, which is also surprisingly classy despite all the violence.

Lizzie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival to generally positive reviews. Some of the critics weren’t fond of historical inconsistencies but praised the chemistry between the two leading ladies. Judge for yourself when Lizzie hits American theaters on September 14.
