Lady Gaga to Star in Ridley Scott’s Gucci Murder Movie

Lady Gaga has just landed her next major acting gig.

Deadline confirms that the iconic singer-songwriter has joined the cast of Ridley Scott’s new movie about the Gucci family. 

According to the outlet, Gaga will portray Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci in the film. Reggiani was tried and convicted of her ex-husband’s assassination in Italy in 1995. She gained the nickname the Black Widow during the trial and served 18 years before being released from prison in 2016.

Scott directs from a script by Roberto Bentivegna, based on Sara Gay Forden’s book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.

Gaga’s breakout film role was on A Star Is Born for which she earned the best actress nomination at the Oscars.
