This year’s Country Music Association Awards brought many amazing moments our way, and Lainey Wilson was their shiniest star. After coming into the night as the most nominated artist with nine nods, she managed to take five trophies home.

Wilson was one of the artists competing for the biggest awards of the night: entertainer of the year and she managed to come out victorious! She defeated the likes of Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen to take this award home.

Wilson’s Bell Bottom Country was named album of the year at this year’s CMA Awards, beating Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville by Ashley McBryde, Gettin’ Old by Luke Combs, One Thing at a Time by Morgan Wallen, and Rolling Up the Welcome Mat by Kelsea Ballerini.

Wilson was also crowned as this year’s female vocalist of the year, beating tough competition from Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, and Carly Pearce. Her Hardy collaboration “Wait in the Truck” won her two more awards: music video of the year and musical event of the year.

Luke Combs was also one of the biggest winners of the night, with three awards. In addition to collecting the International Artist Achievement Award, his cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” was named both the single and song of the year.

The 2023 Country Music Association Awards returned to Nashville, Tennessee on November 8, with Luke Bryan with Peyton Manning serving as the ceremony’s hosts.
