Lainey Wilson topped the list of nominees at this year’s ACM Awards and she managed to win most of the awards she was in the running for. She ended up winning four awards, including album of the year, while Chris Stapleton was crowned as the entertainer of the year.
Wilson was running against Miranda Lambert’s Palomino, Jon Pardi’s Mr. Saturday Night, Luke Combs’s Growin’ Up, and Ashley McBryde’s Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville in the album of the year race and managed to take the trophy home with her album Bell Bottom Country.
She was also named the female artist of the year, beating the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBrydea, and Carly Pearce. Wilson also picked up awards for the music event of the year and visual media of the year for being featured on Hardy’s “Wait in the Truck”.
In addition to Wilson and Stapleton, the list of the biggest winners at this year’s ACM Awards also included Morgan Wallen (male artist of the year), Old Dominion (group of the year), Brothers Osborne (duo of the year), and Cole Swindell’s “She Had Me at Heads Carolina” (single and song of the year).
The 58th Academy of Country Music Awards returned to Frisco, Texas on May 11, with Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks hosting the festivities.
