Disney is currently taking theatres by storm with their latest movie Jungle Cruise, and they’re already plotting another project based on one of their most popular rides. Haunted Mansion will be getting a big-screen adaptation, with LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish in the lead roles.

Haunted Mansion first debuted in 1969 and went on to become one of the most popular rides at both Disney Land and Disney World. It allows visitors to go inside a creepy manor and encounter a bunch of spooky characters along the way.

Justin Simien, best known for his work on Dear White People, will be in charge of directing the adaptation of the popular ride. The most recent draft of the script was penned by Katie Dippold, while Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, who produced the live-action hit Aladdin, are expected to return as producers.

LaKeith Stanfield is fresh off his Oscar-nominated performance in Judas and the Black Messiah, and he’s soon set to appear on the new season of Atlanta. Tiffany Haddish recently starred alongside Tracy Morgan in The Last O.G. and we’ll soon get to see her The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent with Nicolas Cage.
