Lana Del Rey has announced that she will be dropping a spoken word album in two weeks.

The “Norman F***ing Rockwell” singer may have already treated us to a golden album earlier this year but according to her latest Instagram video, we will be gifted with another Del Rey offering before the year is up.

The album will contain spoken word and will sound more like “gritty” poetry than it will songs. It’s Del Rey’s chance to share her thoughts with fans in a fresh and candid artform. Better still, all album proceeds will be going towards supporting Native American organizations across America.

“I knew I wanted the album to be around a dollar because I just love the idea that thoughts are meant to be shared and that they were priceless in some way,” Lana said. “I had wanted to do it because in doing my own work in connecting to my own family lineage I was encouraged to also try to connect to the country’s lineage.

“This was a while ago, and it kind of informed the next album that I’d been working on. And I just really wanted to sort of pay homage to the country that I love so much by doing my own reparation.”

She added: “I guess I would say, my own reparative act.

The new album will be released on January 4.
