Lana Del Rey is currently busy plotting her next album Blue Banisters, and she already shared several singles from it with the world. About a month before its release, she gave us a taste of things to come with her latest single “Arcadia”.
The music video for “Arcadia” is pretty simple, and it sees the singer blissfully alone in a hotel room, looking through the window and singing. Just like the rest of Blue Banisters, this song has been inspired by the criticism that the singer faced in her past and it’s a harrowing anthem that perfectly fits into Del Rey’s discography.
“This song hits somewhere in the middle and by the time the record drops you will hear where we’re at today. As much as the ongoing criticism has been trying, it at least has pushed me to explore my own family tree, to dig deep…” said the singer in a statement.
“Arcadia” was preceded by three other singles—”Text Book”, “Blue Banisters”, and “Wildflower Wildfire”. They’ll be amongst a total of 15 tracks featured on Del Rey’s eighth studio album Blue Banisters, set to come out on October 22nd.
