Edgar Wright’s psychological thriller Last Night in Soho, starring Anya Taylor-Joy just released its first trailer.
Also starring are Thomasin McKenzie and Matt Smith. The film follows Eloise (McKenzie) as she travels back in time and meets her idol, a singer named Sandy (Taylor-Joy) in the 1960s. Her journey isn’t smooth sailing—it will show the twists and turns and as Wright tweeted, “Haunted by someone else’s past, but we’ll see you in the future.”
In the trailer, which is set to Petula Clark’s “Downtown’ sung by Taylor-Joy, we see Eloise arriving in London and exploring the Café de Paris before her identity with Sandy becomes blurred.
Wright co-penned the script with Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Wright’s directing credits include Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The World’s End, Baby Driver.
Taylor-Joy has been in The Queen’s Gambit, The Witch, Split, and Glass. McKenzie starred in Jojo Rabbit.
The film will be released on October 22. Check out the trailer below.
