It’s been three years since Fifth Harmony went on indefinite hiatus, and Lauren Jauregui is ready to take her solo career to new heights. After a lot of anticipation, she’s ready to share her debut solo project Prelude with the world, during a special performance taking place next month.

Prelude will be accompanied by a global live stream that Jauregui developed in collaboration with Moment House, and it will see the light of day on October 14/15. She described it as an introspective project that sees her going through a lot of different emotions as she explores her strengths and vulnerabilities.

“I want people to experience the rawness of the songs, and I feel like I really captured that. And I’m really capturing that through the process of creating this piece that I’m going to present to people,” Jauregui told Billboard.

The former Fifth Harmony singer is yet to release her first solo album, but she’s been on quite a journey since this girl group split up in 2018. She released solo singles “Expectations” and “More Than That”, wrote a song for Birds of Prey: The Album, and collaborated with Tainy on Latin-tinged single “Lento”.
