The holiday season is just around the corner, and Amazon Freevee just dropped a trailer for one of the most exciting Christmas movies coming our way. Leighton Meester and Robbie Amell play former fiances who are unexpectedly reunited during Christmas in the first trailer for the upcoming rom-com EXmas.
Robbie Amell (Upload) plays Graham, who decides to surprise his family by traveling home for Christmas—only to discover them already celebrating with an unexpected guest of honor. His ex-fiancée Ali (Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester) has also been invited for Christmas, and they must battle it out to see who the family will pick to stay through Christmas Day.
In addition to leading Upload, Amell also appeared on Netflix’s fantasy series The Witcher this year and starred in the Canadian film Float. As for Meester, she had a recurring role in the recently canceled sitcom How I Met Your Father and led the thriller River Wild.
The ensemble cast of EXmas also includes Michael Hitchcock (Puppy Love), Kathryn Greenwood (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Veronika Slowikowska (What We Do in the Shadows), and Steven Huy (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies). This rom-com hails from director Jonah Feingold and screenwriter Dan Steele.
EXmas will premiere on Amazon Freevee on November 17.
