Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are one of Hollywood’s most enduring power duos, and they’re getting ready to team up again. After working on the upcoming Western drama Killers of the Flower Moon, they’ve already got their eyes set on their next project—The Wager.

In addition to being directed by Scorsese with DiCaprio in the lead role, these two films share another major similarity. Both are based on non-fiction books by David Grann—The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder, in case of their latest collaborative project.

The film borrows its name from the British naval ship the Wager, which was wrecked on a desolate island off the tip of South America during the 1740s. As the captain and crew struggled to survive and maintain order, they had to battle the most extreme elements and their own human natures.

DiCaprio and Scorsese have been collaborating for two decades. Their joint filmography includes projects Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, and The Wolf of Wall Street, two of which earned DiCaprio an Oscar nomination.

Their next film Killers of the Flower Moon is expected to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next year, and it also stars Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, and Brendan Fraser.
