Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are one of the most iconic dynamic duos in the history of modern cinema, and they’re getting ready to make another movie together. The renowned filmmaker will be directing FBI drama Killers of the Flower Moon with DiCaprio in the lead.

Their upcoming project is based on a bestselling non-fiction book by David Grann, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI. The story takes place in 1920s Oklahoma is one of the most sinister conspiracies in American history. It focuses on the murders of members of the Osage Indian Nation that become rich overnight after discovering oil beneath their land. Agents of the newly launched FBI take up the case and try to solve it.

Martin Scorsese agreed to direct the project because he’s a big fan of the book, and he can’t wait to team up with DiCaprio and A Star Is Born screenwriter Eric Roth.

“When I read David Grann’s book, I immediately started seeing it – the people, the settings, the action – and I knew that I had to make it into a movie. I’m so excited to be working with Eric Roth and reuniting with Leo DiCaprio to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen,” said the Oscar-winning director.
