It looks like Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg are looking to join forces once again and collaborate for the first time since 2002’s movie Catch Me If You Can. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Academy Award-winning actor and director duo is in the early talks to team up for Ulysses S. Grant biopic.

It was recently announced that DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way acquired the rights to adapt the 2017’s biography of the 18th President of the United States, which was written by historian and biographer Ron Chernow. David James Kelly, who wrote 2018’s feature Robin Hood, is attached to pen the script for the biopic.

Still, we shouldn’t expect this movie to come anytime soon since both Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg have their hands full with other projects. Spielberg is currently working on a new Indiana Jones movie with Harrison Ford while also planning to direct a film remake of the musical West Side Story. Legendary director is also attached to work on several other movies including the adaptation of Lynsey Addario’s memoir It’s What I Do and recently announced film adaptation of the Blackhawk comic book series.

DiCaprio, on the other side, will star in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood while being set to play Leonardo da Vinci in Paramount film based on the life of the Italian Renaissance polymath. He will also reunite with Martin Scorsese for a biopic of former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt.
